Announcement Description

The NGO Forum on Cambodia is a well-respected membership-based organization. It comprises of 96 local and international non-governmental organizations, each specializing in different areas of humanitarian and development assistance to Cambodia. NGOF exists to represent the priorities and concerns of these civil society organizations. These CSOs in turn, are accountable to the poor and vulnerable people of Cambodia. The NGO Forum was stablished in the early 1980’s by international NGOs campaigning for an end to the aid embargo imposed on Cambodia at that time. Over the last three decades, the NGO Forum has evolved in response to changing socio-political climate of the country. Since its inception, the NGO Forum has accumulated significant institutional expertise in convening CSOs, facilitating networks of members in shared advocacy work, representing the diversity of members’ views and interests, and constructively engaging with government, development partners and private sector. Currently, the NGO Forum is seeking qualified Cambodian candidate for the position of Land and Natural Resource Governance Program Manager

Job Purpose:

Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the incumbent leads subordinates to ensure the program achieve its objectives (strategic priority areas) which came up from member action plans. The incumbent represents the program and members and work closely with other program managers and core program for achieving strategic goal of NGO Forum on Cambodia (NGOFC) 2024-2030. The incumbent will be the focal point of the NGOFC to work closely with members, government of Cambodia, donors, partners, auditors, networks members, stakeholders, and public regarding to program management.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Education
  • Master degree in environment science, development study, or related subjects.
  • Professional qualification and in-depth knowledge on pro-poor policy advocacy for land and natural resources management are desirable
  • Experiences
  • At least five years professional experience in land, resettlement, IP and forestry program management with NGOs and Donors Partners
  • At least three years experience in staff management and leading team
  • Professional experience in high level network coordination such as dialogue, debate, and advocacy for pro-poor policy development and monitoring of implementation
  • Demonstrate experience in guiding team to facilitate and coordinate network members and CSOs in consultation with the government officials and development partners
  • Demonstrate ability to ensure transparent and accountable fund using
  • Skill
  • Proven ability to manage, delegate, and transfer skill and knowledge to staff
  • Strong computer skills, especially Ms. Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Khmer and English
