Position’s Overview:

Senior Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable duties, and assists accounting personnel.

Salary range: Competitive commensurate with experience and qualifications

Position type: Regular, Monday to Saturday (Half Day)

Duties

  • Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
  • Record business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
  • Support accounting personnel.
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  • Provide input into department’s goal setting process
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Preparing tax planning
  • Preparing tax payments ( PIT, VAT, TSO, WHT)
  • Completing regular (quarterly and annual) tax reports
  • Support month-end and year-end close process

Requirements

  • Experience at least 2 years in Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and banking or related field;
  • Good knowledge in accounting and taxation in Cambodia;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, stakeholder
  • and suppliers;
  • Demonstration of effective verbal, presentation and communications skills;
  • Computer proficient in Ms. Word, Excel, Spreadsheet, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet;
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and after-hours; and

Duties

  • Manage business projects involving tax strategy and planning, financial monitoring and reporting, regulatory compliance;
  • Identify issues, define symptoms and recommend solutions;
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on our existing and new business units;
  • Build and manage relationships with peers within other practice areas of company;
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks and support in documenting and sharing of lessons learnt from each projects;
  • Keep up to date with any developments relating to tax and customs laws, regulations and practice;
  • Deal and communicate with the General Department of Taxation and Customs officials, especially with Tax Audit officers;
  • Peer review the work of other tax staff and provide constructive feedback as necessary;

Requirements

  • University level qualifications in Tax, Law, Accounting and/or professional qualifications;
  • CAT or ACCA accreditation is a plus;
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience and Passion for tax is a must;
  • Experience of advising international tax and inbound tax planning in Cambodia is a plus;
  • General knowledge of transfer pricing principles and application or willingness to develop such knowledge;
  • Proactive and attention to details is a requirement;
  • Excellent time management and organization skills;
  • Good people management skills;
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Management, Business Administrative, or other related fields;
  • At least two years' experiences in recruiting or relevant;
  • Experience at recruiting agency is an advantage;
  • Integrity, commitment, team work, dynamic, good interpersonal and communication skill;
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing and listening);
