The role of Senior QS is key to the company’s future development and success in delivering continuous flow of new business and dentifying future opportunities in both competitive tendering and design and build projects. The Directors seek to attract Quantity Surveyor with broad commercial skills and strong background in estimating whilst understanding the commercial drivers, risk profiles and key success factors for Clients procuring construction works. The Estimator / QS will ensure robust, accurate and innovative advice is delivered to clients to align with their needs and business objectives. Key accountabilities of the role are detailed below.

Duties

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Work Procurement: Monitor the market to identify work opportunities. Pursue opportunities to obtain tender documents. Completion and submission of BOQs.
  • Pre-Contract:
  • Maintain sub-contract data base
  • Maintain material suppliers database
  • Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender
  • Take off quantities with accuracy and precision
  • Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
  • Prepare and issue material supply enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
  • Pricing of all element of the project including but not limited to: Piling and Foundations,

Architecture, Engineer - Civil, Engineering

Reporting directly to the Project Director and working closely with management team, this role is responsible for planning and overseeing wide variety of construction projects from beginning to end. The incumbent will be working with subcontractors, engineers and architects as needed, and keeping track of an inventory of equipment and materials. The ideal applicant will be highly organized, with the ability to plan ahead and multitask in order to meet deadlines and keep projects under budget.


Duties

  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end

The incumbent will be working with subcontractors, engineers and architects as needed. The ideal applicant will be highly organized, with the ability to plan ahead and multitask in order to meet deadlines.

Duties

  • Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
  • Preparing rough and detailed scale plans for foundations and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
  • Preparing cost estimates, contracts, bidding documents and technical reports for specific projects under Project/Technical Director’s supervision.
  • Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.
  • Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
  • Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
  • Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations, as well as client requirements
  • Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Experience in computer-aided design and drafting – Autocad or similar applications.
  • Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential.
